Massage Therapy

Listen to this Commentary!

By Joshua Clemmons

Massage therapy seems like an ideal profession for me.

I'm Joshua Clemmons with a commentary from Youth Radio.

How often have you heard that out of a young man's mouth? Not often, especially if you look like a football player.

For me, the decision was easy. Whenever I spent the night at my grandparents' house with my cousins, grandpa always wanted one of us to rub his back, because it irritated him after a long day of maintenance work. At first, it seemed like a kind of torture, but as the weeks went by, I got use to it, and even started to like it. I thought that I liked doing it for the brownie points, but then I realized it was the fact that I made him feel relaxed and happy. So when it came time for me to think about my future for myself, massage therapy fit best.

Don't be afraid to pursue an unusual profession. Follow your passion, not the crowd.

For Youth Radio, I'm Joshua Clemmons.
