Never Enough Money

"Money has become a big issue for me during senior year."

Listen to this Commentary!

By William Robertson

I wish there was such a thing as a fast, legal source of money for a high school senior.

Money has become a big issue for me during senior year. My first big event is senior prom. I have to save money to buy a tuxedo, rent a limo for the night, and help pay for a hotel room for the after party. Another expense is senior pictures. I paid over 200 dollars for my for pictures I didn’t really like. Soon I’ll also have to cough up a couple hundred dollars in senior dues….payments that every senior has to make in order to graduate. On top of all this, many of the colleges I applied to have denied my fee waivers, which means I have to pay out of my pocket to process my application to five different colleges. It looks like senior year will cost me one thousand three hundred twenty five dollars, give or take a few bucks.

I have no clue where the money will come from. But if you’re feeling sorry for me, don’t, because I’m determined to make ends meet.
