Here is what some young people are saying about today's travel ban decision. https://twitter.com/natalierbett/status/1011659211053285376 https://twitter.com/libertydawnroot/status/1011692652448878592 https://twitter.com/ziadtheactivist/status/1011625451830341632 https://twitter.com/nicolesarahhhh/status/1011648707488636928 https://twitter.com/Ruby_Rubes14/status/1011652448518225920 Sanaa Abrar is the Policy and Advocacy Manager at United We Dream, an immigrant youth-led organization. As a black and Muslim-American woman she was disheartened upon hearing the news but not surprised at all. She said that she had grown up with Islamophobia her whole life. But part of her remains hopeful. “We’re seeing representatives from all communities such as Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ, reproductive rights advocates, come in solidarity for Muslims,” She says. “At the core of it all, the people of this country will not stand for it.” https://www.instagram.com/p/BkgLrdElgjm/?taken-by=s.eanc https://www.instagram.com/p/BkfkYvdgANZ/?taken-by=nadinejawad10 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bkf2raDnZ7S/?taken-by=a.coya Protesters against the Muslim ban have hit the streets already in some major cities. Here's a thread of scheduled protests sprouting across the nation. See if your city has one below. https://twitter.com/JessLivMo/status/1011627218441850881
