My Rain

By Trevaj Siller

The sweet pitty pat of the rain against the window calms me greatly

and the sound of

the wind whistling through the chimney excites me plenty

The gray sky loves me back

like my reflection and it makes me smile to

see the glistening rain floating through the sky and though

rainy days are my favorite I do like it when the sun peeks through

and to watch the sun set into endless gray amuses me

as it accents the sky with beautiful shades of violet and orange

all my pains go away when it rains

even when it pours down there is no softer touch than the way it

rolls as it lands and puddles in my hand

the rain moves me like no mortal can and

even changes my mood to happy when rude

then when it goes away it leaves me all warm inside awaiting its return

Oh how I love it when it rains
