Basketball

"Just look at basketball today. Most NBA superstars are black."

By Jamal Rasheed

In basketball, there seems to be a stereotype that blacks are naturally good players while whites are second-class players. Is it because blacks came up with dunking and fancy moves on street ball courts? Maybe it's because they've just proven to be better at basketball than whites. Just look at basketball today. Most NBA superstars are black. Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnet, Michael Jordan.

The Harlem Globetrotters had a whole team of blacks in the old days that did fantastic and amazing stunts with a basketball. Since people said white men can't jump, some blacks believe that's why they gave basketball the three point line - so whites could be as show-off as the blacks.

Look at Larry Bird and Jerry West. They were great because they had an excellent shot, but for some reason they couldn't dunk as well as Julius Irving, Michael Jordan, or Dominique Wilkins who were known for their tricks or dunks.
