My Brother

"Begging the lord trying to find out when I'm leaving."

Listen to this Commentary!

By Johnathan Waters

My brother got murdered, but how am I supposed to explain it to my mother? Two of my other dogs in critical condition, eternal bleeding, looks could be deceiving. Begging the lord trying to find out when I'm leaving. My eyes is bleeding. In society, fools is known for thieving. Memorial sites, bed bugs gone bite, dog fights. Nightmares haunt your soul cause you ain't living your life right. Am I man or beast? I eat up your flesh and bury 'yo bones. Then I watch your soul get on. Even though gone life still goes on.

Think about it twice stretched out with life capital L, in your first footsteps of hell. All you thinking about is breaking out of jail behind these walls, wishing you get a second chance so you can live your life on. 'Lil brother following your footsteps, jail in and jail out, mind stuck in this game, ain't even thinking about getting out. Rest in peace, mom’s little boy gonna live the rest of his life deceased. Never gonna see the age of 19. So I sit and reminisce about the days. I sit in class and daydream.
