Youth Radio’s 20th Anniversary Kickoff

Please join Youth Radio’s friends, partners and youth reporters for an intimate evening to launch our 20th year of award-winning media, and to celebrate the opening of our art space, Youth Radio 1719.

Youth Radio students and leadership, Steve Fainaru, Youth Radio Board member, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and co-author of League of Denial, and Mark Fainaru-Wada, co-author of League of Denial

Food prepared by Youth Radio’s CHEF program. Wine and beer will be served.

Individual tickets are available for a $75 donation to Youth Radio, and sponsorships for $750. Sold out!

Sponsorships include ten tickets and program listing.

All event donations will be tripled by long-time Youth Radio supporter, The Jenesis Group.

Steve Fainaru is an investigative reporter for ESPN. While covering the Iraq war for the Washington Post, he received the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting.  Previously Steve worked for 11 years at the Boston Globe, including serving as Latin America bureau chief.  Most importantly, Steve is a supporter of Youth Radio and serves on the Board of Directors.

Mark Fainaru-Wada is an investigative reporter for ESPN. He co-authored the New York Times best-seller “Game of Shadows — Barry Bonds, BALCO and the Steroids Scandal That Rocked Professional Sports.”  He was previously a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle.

There will not be valet parking at this event, though there are many parking lots nearby. We suggest using public transit, as Youth Radio’s gallery space at 1719 Broadway is easily accessible by train or bus.
