Rhythm &Move: A Beautiful Thing to Life

While working on my project and exploring the art of cultural dance, I’ve learned that this is very true. African dance is not just any type of dance. It is a dance that informs and tells a story with just your body moving to the beats of a drum. For most of the girls that I got the opportunity to interview, African dance is an outlet for them. It is something that either ties them to their culture or simply gives them a space to feel safe and express their passion for dance.
